Area X Wins State Tournament Bid January 18, 2009
Area X has won the bid to host the 2010/2011 State Wrestling Tournaments at the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes Barre. This will be the first time the tournament has been held in the eastern part of the state and also the first time for an 8 and under division. The successful bid was created in cooperation with the Wachovia Arena, the Luzerne County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry. The Championship Committee members are Gary Siegel, Vito Pasone, Bob Hawkins, John Ratajczak and Schuyler Frey. Visit The Wachovia Arena |
